Cross words over river
THE Cross River Rail delivery authority has slammed Infrastructure Australia over their evaluation of the Brisbane project, which they claim is riddled with errors.
In its evaluation of the $5.4 billion project, IA found the benefits were “overstated” and called for another business case to address concerns.
But the delivery authority has hit back, claiming there were 23 “unsubstantiated opinions, assertions or errors” in the evaluation, ranging from incorrect data to mislabelling Brisbane suburb Highgate Hill as “Hill Gate.”
