GCCC has decided to remove 4 large fig trees from Koala Park creek front. These trees have been there for 40 years … they are well established and provide shade in summer! The public needs to know this is going to happen if we don’t start a petition ASAP. – SG

I work at the Oracle Building Broadbeach at a day spa along with another 10 staff so if Councillor Paul Taylor has his way and puts 2-hr parking in Broadbeach this is going to make parking very difficult for us! I agree the tradies are taking up most of the parking spaces everyday but 2 hr parking limits won’t fix this. – SG

Given a large chunk of Antarctic ice is about to break away from the ice shelf, why couldn’t we tow the ice up north and park it off the Great Barrier Reef so it cools the water and reduces bleaching. Not very scientific but might work. – GT

Re: Broadbeach parking debacle. I have noticed on several occasions the council parking officers will book ordinary people but leave the tradie vehicles to park all day at the Kurrawa Surf Club and at the Broadwater Parklands parking areas. Interesting. – Wayne
