No luck for Freeman

LUCKLESS St Kilda midfielder Nathan Freeman’s cruel injury run has continued with the youngster suffering an ankle injury that could rule him out for the rest of the season.

It had been hoped Freeman, who has not played at senior level since he was drafted by Collingwood at the end of 2013 due to hamstring injuries, could make his long-awaited debut this year but the further blow means he will likely have to wait until 2018.

He hurt his ankle in a VFL game last weekend and is likely to miss four to six weeks.
