Conman is denied bail
NOTORIOUS conman Peter Foster has been deemed a “completely unacceptable risk” and denied bail over his alleged involvement in a $1.5 million sports betting scam.
Foster, 54, was extradited from Queensland to NSW in February and charged with publishing false or misleading material to obtain advantage, dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and knowingly possessing a false foreign travel document.
NSW Supreme Court justice Richard Button refused bail for Foster yesterday.
