Lightning strikes man
A MAN was indirectly struck by lightning while standing next to a metal road plate during a brief, but fierce, electrical storm.
The man, aged in his 30s, suffered an electric shock after the road plate was hit by lighting in Adelaide yesterday.
The South Australia ambulance service said the victim was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries from lightening strikes were reported but 6000 properties across Adelaide lost power.
