Punched woman is charged

-

A WOMAN punched in the face in an ugly road rage incident – from which dash cam footage went viral – was yesterday charged with a number of offences including malicious damage.

Bianca Lee Sams, 21, was also charged with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, and risking safety by intentionally throwing an object at a vehicle.

She was given conditional bail and is due to appear before Wyong Local Court on September 6.

It comes after her alleged attacker Clint Pollard was charged with assault over the incident on the Pacific Hwy at Lake Munmorah, on the state’s Central Coast, earlier this week.

Sams had accused Pollard of tailgating her friend and is alleged to have thrown nails at his vehicle before the heated confrontation in the middle of the road. Dash cam footage of the incident went viral.

The charges against Sams yesterday also came in the wake of a 22-year-old man being charged with various offences on Wednesday, after a police investigation into an unrelated road rage incident in Western Sydney. That incident was also captured in video footage posted online.
