Sky News launch Gold Coast studio

NATIONAL television broadcaster Sky News yesterday launched its new Gold Coast studio – based out of the headquarters of the Gold Coast Bulletin at Southport.

Sky News anchor Paul Murray broadcast hit current affairs program Paul Murray Live from the Gold Coast for the first time last night and will produce a series of special edition Gold Coast episodes over the next week.

“The Gold Coast studio will be my second home,” he said.

“I love the place and can’t wait to have breakfast in Broadbeach, see a movie at Robina and broadcast from Southport this week.”

Janine Perrett will anchor The Friday Show from the new Southport digs on Friday at 4pm.

The opening of the Gold Coast studio is part of a significant Sky News expansion in recent years.
