A GOLD Coast school has launched a hilarious campaign to entice Aquaman star Jason Momoa to their fete.

Students at Bellevue Park State School at Ashmore posted a video on Facebook this week auditioning superheroes to star in their campaign about dads in education.

In the video, principal Dave Hartley and student Jade Williams, 5, ran their eye over a few wanna-be superheroes, but finally decide the only man for the job is Aquaman.

The video has gone viral and Mr Hartley said students hoped Momoa would see it and contact them.

He said they wanted him to help with their Real Men Read campaign to get dads involved in their kids’ education.

If the invite is accepted the school will helicopter Momoa in and give him the “Hollywood” treatment.

“Jason Momoa is the best person to represent what we’re trying to achieve, because he’s intelligent and is a great father to his kids,” Mr Hartley said.

“We want our students to have positive male role models reading and to promote that we decided to get a bit cheeky.”

Kids from prep to Year 6 are involved in the campaign. Trey Te Amo-Enoka, 11, said Aquaman was his favourite hero and he hoped the campaign would bring him to Bellevue Park.

The Real Men Read community fair is from 3-7pm on August 18 at Bellevue Park State School on Sapium Rd, Ashmore.
