Tina Clarke and her highland terrier Daisy West bow wowed the judges at The Pup Cup grooming competition. Ms Clarke, a Maudsland resident and owner of Tina’s Dog Grooming, travelled to Coffs Harbour for the competition where she also took second place for her work with her customer’s pet, JJ the bichon. This was the first time Ms Clarke, pictured centre with Daisy West, had entered a grooming competition and she is thrilled the dogs put their best paws forward. LAUREN: Fashion designer turned architect Hiromi Lauren has received a coveted award for her design of a Gold Coast sporting facility. Ms Lauren, of Shiro Architects in Sydney, was awarded the Queensland State Institute of Architects award for commercial architecture for her design of the Gold Coast KDV Golf and Tennis Academy in Carrara. The Japanese-born architect was mentored by the renowned Harry Seidler.
