STREET TALK

WHAT WOULD YOU ASK THE PREMIER IF YOU COULD ASK HER ANYTHING?

-

Phil Savage, 57, Main

Beach: It would have to do with the Main Beach development, with the highrises. Luke Forster, 33, Tugun: I think about more convenient transport, mainly because there’s no light rail to Tugun. Sometimes buses get there late. Jo Brady, 85, Southport: Maybe concession fees for travel, because in NSW I can travel (anywhere) for about $2.50 ... but I don’t think we have that in Queensland.

Daniel Selby, 30, Surfers

Paradise: If I could ask her anything, well I’d ask about the development on the Spit because it’s an issue. I like the beach. But I’m pretty content with everything else.

Peter Stinchcombe, 51,

Southport: Is the shipping terminal and casino idea dead? I don’t think we need another casino on the Gold Coast and I’m for a shipping terminal, but outside of the Broadwater.

Betty Blackwell, 82,

Southport: Probably about transport, because there’s not too much that goes around the main roads. You need it at my age.
