Chase accused to face 30 charges

A MAN accused of bashing a woman and stealing her car, leading police on a cross-city chase before been found hiding under a house at Coolangatt­a will appear in court today charged with 30 offences.

Defence lawyer for 21-yearold Dylan Slingsby, Sam Rigby, of Gatenby Criminal Law, yesterday appeared in the Southport Magistrate­s Court and indicated his client would not appear until today.

“He is about to be charged with 30 more offences,” he said.

The offences are believed to have occurred from March this year.

Police prosecutor senior constable Jack Mulherin said he would make an applicatio­n for Slingsby to appear in the dock wearing handcuffs.

He also applied for a disease test to be done.

Slingsby was arrested after a car was allegedly stolen from a Coolangatt­a apartment complex on Wednesday.
