MARGOT’S TRIP BACK IN TIME
MARGOT Robbie has shared her trip back in time to help bring to life one of Britain’s most-loved children’s authors.
The Gold Coast actor yesterday posted images of her portrayal of Daphne Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin.
The movie follows the origins of Winnie the Pooh, the bear’s creator A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin, whose collection of stuffed animals inspired the books.
“Had the most magical time shooting this,” Margot, whose Daphne is Christopher’s mum, wrote on Instagram.
“Trust me, you don’t want to miss #GoodbyeChristopherRobin.”
The new footage focuses on Milne’s experience during the war and how it inspired him to tell a story that would stop people from hurting each other in a grief-stricken, postWorld War I England.
Milne is seen walking through the woods with his son, which he brought to life in the Hundred-Acre Wood. There’s even a sneaky reference to the loveable donkey Eeyore.
The film, due for release in October, also stars Harry Potter actor Domhnall Gleeson and Kelly Macdonald.
