Child trapped in school

A SIX-year-old child was yesterday freed from after becoming trapped between boulders at a Varsity Lakes school.

The incident happened at about 2pm when emergency services were called to Varsity College Primary School on Bridgewater Drive following reports the child’s foot had become stuck between two boulders in the school garden.

Varsity College executive principal Steve McLuckie said the child freed himself just as paramedics arrived and before firefighters got to the scene.

The child was not injured.
