More success for youngster

RISING star Alexander Zverev has won his first ATP title on an outdoor hardcourt, claiming the Washington Open against veteran South African Kevin Anderson yesterday.

Eighth-ranked Zverev beat Anderson 6-4, 6-4 to win the Washington event for his fourth ATP title of the year, one behind Roger Federer (5).

Meanwhile, Ash Barty has moved strongly on to the north American hardcourt swing by winning through qualifying for the WTA Toronto main draw.
