JESINTA SET FOR A SIZZLING SUMMER

- CHANTAY LOGAN

IF this is winter, wait until you see summer.

Amid the Gold Coast’s dream run of sun, Jesinta Franklin is turning up the temperature with a sizzling fashion forecast.

The David Jones ambassador is tipped to strut her stuff in swimwear at the department giant’s star-studded spring-summer launch in Sydney tonight.

Off the back of fierce winter workouts and a foray into high fashion, she isn’t going to let a little sixpack speculation burst her bikini bubble.

“I’m not worried at all. Being in a bikini is part of my job and everyone’s going to have an opinion,” she said.

“Not everyone is going to like you, the things you wear or the things you say – whether I’m in a bikini or not.

“The opinions that matter most to me are that of my husband, family and friends, and they’re based on the kind of person I am, not how I look.”

Franklin isn’t afraid to break out a sweat, with boxing and Muay Thai training – “throwing in a bit of elbows, a bit of knees” – to prepare for one of the Australian fashion industry’s most anticipated events.

“It’s one of those weeks where you’re running on adrenaline,” she said. “I’m getting older, so I’m just doing the best I can to be ready for it all.”
