Anger over double dip
WOOLWORTHS boss Brad Banducci says he is outraged some customers were billed twice because of an error made by a payments processor.
Some disgruntled shoppers claimed the double-dipping hit them with “overdraw fees”.
Woolies yesterday revealed customers who paid by VISA between March 11 and 13 were charged again on August 6.
“We are outraged,” Mr Banducci said. “Woolworths was not involved in this error, and was completely unaware of it until contacted by customers.”
Payment firm CUSCAL said customers would be refunded.
