Marko Miljkovic, 9, has scored his biggest goal yet after being selected to kick it with Real Madrid Football Club. Marko was picked from more than 100 Australian junior players by Real Madrid coaches to play in their youth division. He will travel to Spain in December after impressing scouts during a tryout day at the Gold Coast Italo Australian Club.

Second young woman admits murder

A woman has admitted to murdering Adelaide man Robert Whitwell during a robbery she carried out with her friend, who was Mr Whitwell’s granddaugh­ter. Bernadette Burns, 22, of Redbank Plains pleaded guilty on Monday to murder before Supreme Court Justice Trish Kelly.

Strict new security rules at our airports

New rules for travellers at Australian airports are coming in after a flight crackdown was ordered following the Sydney airport terrorism plot. The dramatic new security clampdown will tighten restrictio­ns for taking liquids on board, photo IDS and possibly introduce biometric ID checks and full body scans. The stringent new measures may also prohibit anyone without a current boarding pass from being let through domestic security.
