Looking to get a sale locked in

AS far as “secure” investments go – this Surfers Paradise property must rank highly.

The Zenith complex’s commercial component, which houses the Surfers Paradise Police Station on Orchid Ave, is going to auction.

The station occupies 954sq m across four units and two floors at 89-93/20 The Esplanade in a building separate from the Zenith tower.

It is being sold by a Gold Coast family, which has owned the property since the late 1990s.

Marketing agent Steven King, of Ray White Commercial Gold Coast, said the Queensland Police Service has been a tenant since 2007 and recently renewed its lease for five years.

QPS pays $480,000 in gross annual rent with four per cent annual increases.

“The Surfers Paradise Police Station is a rare longterm investment opportunity in the heart of the Surfers Paradise entertainment precinct fronting Orchid Ave,” Mr King said.

Mr King said the property comes with a basement area and the use of a courtyard.

The auction will be held on September 7 at 11am at the Gold Coast Turf Club.
