Injury amid a Boomers run

AUSTRALIA have cruised into the quarter-finals of the FIBA Asia Cup but the Boomers will be without fourtime Olympian David Anderson for the rest of the tournament.

The undefeated Boomers completed a clean sweep of their group with a 90-50 victory over Chinese Taipei in Lebanon yesterday to earn direct entry into Thursday’s quarter-finals where they could face China.

Anderson (shoulder) will be back in Melbourne by the time Australia next take the court.
