Delvene Delaney got her first big break when she was named Gold Coast Golden Girl — a role which had responsibilities including attracting tourism to the area. She later became an actor, most notably starring on The Young Doctors as Nurse Jojo and as co-host of Sale of the Century. She later married her The Paul Hogan Show co-star John Cornell.
