Nike back to future

-

SELF-LACING sneakers – which have captivated the minds of people since the product was first conceived in the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II – are about to become a reality for Aussies.

Last December, Nike made the dream a reality by releasing its self-lacing HyperAdapt 1.0 sneakers to consumers. The release was limited to North America, but this is all about to change with the sneakers coming Down Under in February.

And while there is no pricing just yet, punters can expect to pay around $950 for the shoes which rely on a sensor, battery, motor and cable system to tie the laces.
