PRODUCER MATT SCALES HEIGHTS

ANOTHER step along the path of theatrical production for our own Matt Ward.

He has secured the rights to stage In The Heights, the first musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).

“The show has a fantastic score of mixed genres including rap, hip-hop and Latin music,” said Matt (pictured above with Matilda star Elise McCann).

“It is set in Washington Heights and was nominated for 13 Tony Awards when it opened on Broadway.

“We’ve finished accepting the auditions for the show and about 180 people have applied which is testament to the talent we have here. We open in November at The Powerhouse in Brisbane and this will be the first time the show has been performed in Queensland.”
