Driver to face court

POLICE are investigating if a man intentionally mowed down a pedestrian with a car on Saturday morning.

Police charged a 38-yearold Hollywell man when he turned himself in following an alleged hit-and-run of a 43year-old man on Trickett St, Surfers Paradise, early on Saturday morning.

He was charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and possessing a knife in a public place.

He is scheduled to face court this morning.
