Secrets of property success

Magazine lifts lid on massive opportunities in Gold Coast market

-

IT’S official – Gold Coasters are obsessed with renovating their homes.

One of those locals is Tracy Henderson, who admits she can’t get enough of the trend.

The boss of Henderson design said she had a habit of transforming every home she bought and on her last renovation project at Benowa Waters she made a $142,000 profit from the sale.

The Gold Coast mother has just renovated another Benowa Waters property, this time bigger and better, without spending a cent more.

“I was excited to move on to another house project. I love the challenge of working with an old house,” Mrs Henderson said.

“I was tight on finances so a lot of the furniture was reused from my previous home. It is always hard to stay in budget with renovations because of the hidden costs.”

While reality television makes the formula of renovating seem straightforward, Mrs Henderson said it was the subtle changes which make the biggest sale impacts.

Find out how Ms Henderson became a renovation sensation in Benowa Waters after just two projects in the Gold Coast Bulletin’s SOLD on Gold Coast magazine.

The glossy magazine – which is free with tomorrow’s paper – comes packed with expert advice on selling, buying and investing.

It includes the latest property data from every suburb on the Coast. There is also an exclusive peek inside the jawdropping prestige market.
