MUM’S STAY-AT-HOME BUSINESS ALL THE FASHION

- KRISTY MUIR

A KINGSCLIFF mother of two is turning kids fashion into a bright homebased career.

Kristy Rigby has juggled an import distribution business for seven years while raising her two daughters and the dedication has seen her nominated for two awards through sunglasses brand Babiators Australia.

She has been named a finalist in the AusMumpreneur Awards for customer service and retail business.

“I started my journey as a work from home mum when my oldest child was born in 2010,” Mrs Rigby said. “Working around kids, building a business in nap times and snatched moments has been a hell of a ride.”

The stay-at-home mum said the business had become so successful that in November her husband John left his full-time job as a youth service manager to join her.

The national awards will be held at Sydney’s Doltone House on August 25.
