HOME INSTEAD: Specialist in-home care provider Home Instead Senior Care Gold Coast is donating $10,000 to the Gold Coast Hospital Rehabilitation Ward this month in honour of Queensland Seniors Week. The donation by owners Chris Davey and Steve Patterson will go towards new equipment for the ward, aiding the recovery of patients after a stroke, brain injury, amputation, or following a deconditioning illness, surgery or fall. Jenny Quail, Gold Coast University Hospital Assistant Director of Physiotherapy — Rehabilitation, says the money will allow them to purchase state-of-the-art biofeedback equipment to help patients get back on their feet.
