CHRIS Hemsworth has surged to No. 11 in Forbes’ annual list of the world’s highest-paid actors.

The Byron Bay actor’s $US31.5 million ($40m) income is up 250 per cent on last year owing to rising fees he commands for Marvel movies.

Hemsworth’s Marvel contract will be up after the asyet-untitled fourth Avengers movie (due in 2019), but the Gold Coast Bulletin understands he’ll likely keep going with the films as long as fans want him to.

Besides next year’s

Avengers: Infinity War, Hemsworth, 34, also has the Afghanistan war drama

Horse Soldiers due for release in January.

Transformers: The Last Knight and Daddy’s Home 2 star Mark Wahlberg clinched top spot, pocketing $US68 million ($86.2m) in the 2017 financial year.
