Parra play off tackle

-

PARRAMATTA coach Brad Arthur said he is not braced for the Broncos’ sensitivities over Kenny Edwards’ cheap shot in their clash four weeks ago to be a factor in tonight’s return clash at Suncorp Stadium.

Edwards was fined when charged with a grade-one contrary conduct offence over the hit on Broncos winger Jonas Pearson in the second half of Parramatta’s 28-14 home win four weeks ago.

Edwards claimed he had not seen a prior, high tackle from Brown and had no idea Pearson had a head knock.

“I saw the replay and if I could go back I wouldn’t do it again,” Edwards said after the game.

The Broncos were not impressed, with coach Wayne Bennett saying it was “up to the game to do something about’’ the tackle.

“It was a big occasion and teams will get themselves up for a big occasion – sometimes emotions get the better of them.” Arthur said yesterday in Sydney.
