DONUT WORRY BE HAPPY AT WINNING PARTY

- AMANDA ROBBEMOND amanda.robbemond@news.com.au

SHOPPERS at Pacific Fair scooped a sweet deal yesterday when the centre handed out 10,000 Krispy Kreme doughnuts as part of its 40th birthday celebrations.

So popular were the sugary treats that Amanda Blakes, who helped to hand them out, said that some lucky shoppers came back for seconds.

“Everyone had such a good time,” she said.

“We tried to limit them to one per person but some swift people were grabbing a few more and even an entire box.”

For 40 lucky Bulletin readers, free doughnuts weren’t the only prizes up for grabs last night.

The winners of our joint competition with Pacific Fair – who all shared their favourite memories of the centre – each got to choose an envelope containing a prize.

The grand prize of a $3000 Pacific Fair gift card and a host of other goodies went to 20-year-old Ariana Rappolt, who said she had never won anything before despite entering many competitions.

“I’m over the moon,” the Highland Park resident said.

“I told my parents I would win as a joke. Now I have to tell them I actually won.”
