SNAPPER GETS EYE OF THE TIGER

- SARAH KEOGHAN

MOST people wouldn’t want to get anywhere near the mouth of a tiger but for photographer Tony Zerna it was the perfect picture opportunity.

Sumatran tiger “Jalur” became the star of the camera at the Sydney’s Symbio Wildlife Park, once tempted with some food on a huge glass pain.

“The second we smeared some food he went straight for it which made for some good snaps,” Park Operations Supervisor Ryan Leahy said. “He is a very confident boy and normally puts on a great show for our visitors.”

According to Leahy, the park operators knew that food would be the best way to get the fantastic pictures.

“Jalur is definitely what you would call a food hog,” he said. “If he gets let out a second before his sister Cinta at feeding time, he will clean up his food and hers too – he’s a bottomless pit.”
