QUESTIONS TO TITANS LINGER

-

TWO final questions need to be asked about the Jarryd HayneNeil Henry saga.

By sacking Henry (right) before the end of the season, the NRL-owned club has to cover the payout saving the future new owners about $400,000. Did potential buyers play a role in this drama?

A club insider also insists Henry wanted Hayne at the club but “under strict guidelines”, which translated means not allowing the player to exercise on the option on his second year.

“The board didn’t listen to him (Henry). They showed naivety in the negotiating process by giving him (Hayne) the second-year option,” the inside said.
