Injured driver back at wheel
FRENCH driver Sebastien Bourdais will return to drive for Dale Coyne Racing this weekend in Illinois, less than 14 weeks after he was badly injured in Indianapolis 500 qualifying.
The tour-time IndyCar champion suffered hip and pelvic fractures after a high-speed crash at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 20.
Last week IndyCar medical director Geoffrey Billows said the 38-yearold was fit to return to racing and his team announced yesterday that he would tackle the weekend’s race.
