Port goes full power

-

PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has implored his senior players to maintain the intensity that secured finals.

Players such as captain Travis Boak and the match-winning Charlie Dixon helped lift Port Adelaide to another level against last year’s premiers the Bulldogs last weekend.

But as the Power lines up as firm favourites against Gold Coast tomorrow night, Hinkley said it was crucial to treat the last finals rehearsal wisely and needed his key personnel to back up their efforts.

“That’s the key to our side, as it is to every side: when your senior players or your best players or your leaders stand up and play strong footy,” Hinkley said.

“We’d have to say that that was a pretty impressive game by that group, if you include (Brad) Ebert and (Ollie) Wines and those who have been part of the leadership group. It certainly makes a difference.”
