SCIENTISTS claim they have discovered that a hidden indicator of how much a woman is driven to success lies in the shape of her face.

They say that women with wider faces — such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton and even singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor — are more power-hungry.

Psychologi­sts at FriedrichA­lexander University in Bavaria measured face width and height.

The results showed links between facial width-to-height ratio and the desire for power.
