NEW THEME PARK MENU HAS FRIES ONLY FOR YOU

DREAMWORLD is changing its menu and opening its doors for free for food lovers.

In a bid to target the “foodie” market the Coomera park has made its Parkway Patisserie and Grill open to the public without a ticket.

It is part of a range of changes to give locals and tourists a better dining experience. New to the menu this month are doughnut fries.

Dreamworld food and beverage operations manager Dwayne Clark said it was no longer acceptable for theme parks to serve up low-quality food at exorbitant prices.

“We’re really recreating ... it’s all about improving the quality of our offering to give value for the price you’re paying,” he said.

“We’ve been rolling out more inventive products. It is about the talking point, and how visually appealing a meal can be. It is also about doing the classic things really well, like the humble burger, which is a popular choice at theme parks.”

Mr Clark said Dreamworld was “minimising their offerings” but doing every menu item better.

“The guests expect more from us and that’s what we’re delivering,” he said.

“We’re in a unique location where we appeal to all age demographics so we’re starting more family meal deals as well. We’ve also hired a fulltime patisserie chef who makes everything in house.”
