Barcelona victim faces more surgery

-

TERROR attack victim Jumarie Cadman is to undergo another round of surgery for fractures as she continues her recovery from injuries suffered in the Barcelona attacks on August 17.

Sydney woman Jumarie, known as Jom, was seriously injured when a terrorist drove a van through crowds on the Las Ramblas pedestrian street. Her seven-year-old son Julian was killed.

Jom has been recovering in the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, with her husband Andrew at her side, after he rushed from Sydney to Spain the day after the attack.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said that Jom was “in a much better condition than she was a week ago’’.

It was not known how much longer she would remain in the hospital.

A second Australian woman injured in the attacks, Suria Intan, also from Sydney, is believed to still be recovering in the Clinic Hospital in central Barcelona.
