‘Lambie sacked me after call to PM’
TASMANIAN senator Jacqui Lambie’s former chief of staff was sacked after he wrote to the prime minister about her alleged inappropriate workplace behaviour, court documents show. Rob Messenger, who left Senator Lambie’s office in May, has taken the senator to the Federal Court for unfair dismissal. Mr Messenger contacted Malcolm Turnbull’s office several times about Senator Lambie’s conduct and work expectations, the file claims.
