TIM TELLS TALE OF COMPASSION
AT THE TSS Breakfast Reverend Tim Costello related a story from his work on the streets of St Kilda.
It involved a heroin addict who said to Tim that his father had just told him that he was a mistake and was never wanted.
By way of comfort Tim replied he was a child of God and that, in essence, his parents were just the receptacles God used to bring him into the world.
He mentioned the man’s first name and after his speech Tim was approached by a female audience member. Sadly the young man was a relative who has since died but she tearfully thanked him for his kindness and caring. Sliding doors.
