Court for kick accused

AN AUSSIE Rules player will front court on September 15 accused of kicking a rival player in the head at a match in Ipswich two weeks ago.

Police allege Redcliffe Tigers player Josiah Dantel, 20, had been tackled in accordance with the rules of the game while playing football at Limestone Park on August 19.

He was then allegedly kicked in the head by opposing player Liam Tudor, 19, from the Ipswich Eagles, during the AFL Queensland Division 3 reserves semi-final.

Police yesterday confirmed that a complaint had been made in relation to the incident (pictured) and that Tudor had been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.
