Jailed for fake threats

-

A WOMAN who faked death threats to get time off work and other compensation has been jailed for at least three years.

Tabitha Lean, of Adelaide, was found guilty of more than 45 deception charges after she deliberately vandalised her home and put fake blood on her children’s clothes to claim she was the victim of death threats and needed time from work.

Yesterday, the Court of Criminal Appeal ordered her to serve an immediate jail sentence of six years and eight months with a non-parole period of three years.

“Not only did it involve a gross breach of trust but it caused suffering to many people,” the judges said. off
