Fyfe to mentor Taylor

FORMER Air New Zealand chief Rob Fyfe will mentor Phil Taylor, the new head of jewellery chain Michael Hill International as he establishes himself in the role.

Mr Fyfe has agreed to a two-year consultancy deal with the Brisbane-based retailer and will be paid up to $16,000 a month for his services, according to the company.

Mr Taylor was appointed to the CEO role in March. Mr Taylor has worked for Michael Hill since 1987 and had been chief financial officer since 2003. He became acting chief executive in August last year after Mike Parsell resigned.
