done Cr Peter Young for promoting land conservation to try and stop the slaughter of native animals on our roads.

It’s about time council and the State Government stopped blatant tree and land clearing in the name of progress.

There should be mandated tracts of bushland kept in any new estates to at least provide somewhere for our wildlife to live.

Parks also need to be provided in addition to reserved bushland.

I’m sure it would be attractive to real estate buyers too if they had bushland in their new estate as there is nothing uglier than a new housing estate with house after house and no greenery. JOHN ANDERSEN, PARKWOOD
