DAVID Henderson, racing enthusiast, has knocked back a chance to achieve the second biggest house sale on the Gold Coast in 2017 and is hanging out for the top dollar

The part-owner of 2013 Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente was offered $15 million a week or so ago for his glamorous five-bedroom beachfront abode at Mermaid Beach but apparently politely said “no”.

He’s chasing $16.95 million, a figure which would beat the $16.5 million paid by a Vietnamese businessman for a Hope Island mansion in July.
