Uni fails to prepare

MORE than six out of 10 university graduates are not “job ready” once they hit the workforce, new research reveals.

In a further dim view of tertiary education, 81 per cent of small and medium businesses said you didn’t need a degree to be successful in business.

Nearly half of the small and medium businesses polled in NAB research, out today, said they were being hamstrung by a skills shortage in their sector.
