Turley into Hall of Fame

COMMONWEALTH Games gold medallist Wayne Turley will be inducted into the national Hall of Fame.

Turley, who takes up the role of Tweed Heads Bowls Club co-ordinator this month, will be among five Hall of Famers revealed this week ahead of the Bowls Australia awards night on October 26 at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise.

Turley, 44, is a former Australian Jackaroos vice-captain who enjoyed a sublime international career, which spanned 132 Tests from 2005 to 2011.
