Moylan on leave
PENRITH boss Phil Gould is adamant embattled skipper Matt Moylan will remain at the club long-term despite being granted indefinite leave to deal with personal issues.
The Panthers’ title push was rocked yesterday by news their star five-eighth would likely miss the finals series as he sought professional help.
“Our doctor alerted us to that in recent weeks. It’s not anything serious, or at least we hope it’s not,” Gould said.
“But we’re not the professionals. We’d like to get professional help to give him some guidance.”
However, Gould allayed concerns the 26-year-old had fallen out with coach Anthony Griffin and was set to join another club.
