CAM’S CAUSE: A charity set up to honour fallen Gold Coast war hero Corporal Cameron Baird has received some welcome support.

Australian wellness company Niagara Therapy has thrown its weight behind Cam’s Cause, raising an impressive $6000.

Niagara Therapy director Matt Adams handed over the funds to Cpl Baird’s father Doug last week. With more than 500 soldiers permanently affected by physical injuries sustained in battle and many more having sustained psychological injuries, Cam’s Cause is committed to focusing on soldier welfare.

Through networking with some of Cpl Baird’s close friends within the 2nd Commando Regiment in Sydney, the team at Cam’s Cause is assisting soldiers struggling with the effects of serving in the elite Special Forces Task Group.

Among many other initiatives, Cam’s Cause is raising funds to help build specially designed camps which will provide a unique environment for soldiers incorporating general outdoor activities and specialist help. To donate visit camscause.org
