Ghost tour firm ‘sorry’

A CONTROVERSIAL Surfers Paradise ghost tour which attacked the memory of iconic Gold Coast Mayor Sir Bruce Small has apologised.

Outraged family and friends of the former mayor were furious with Lantern Ghost Tours over its advertising a tour suggesting Sir Bruce’s ghost haunted the Clock Hotel in Surfers Paradise “harassing the female staff” as well as calling him a “notorious ladies’ man.”

Following yesterday’s story in the Bulletin, Sir Bruce’s granddaughter Dr Anne Small spoke with the tour operators who apologised and agreed to remove any reference to the former mayor.
