WIN TICKETS TO SEE SCREEN QUEEN

- SUZANNE SIMONOT

JUDI Dench reprises the role of Queen Victoria, which she played in 1997’s Mrs Brown, in new historical comedy Victoria and Abdul – and the Bulletin is offering readers the chance to win tickets to see it.

Stephen Frears’ film tells the story of a controversial friendship between the elderly monarch and Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal), a handsome Indian clerk who is recruited to be a part of a Golden Jubilee ceremony.

The royal court is horrified and take action to sabotage their friendship.

On why he decided to make a film examining Britain’s relationship with Muslims, Frears joked, “I thought to myself: ‘What film would Donald Trump most like to see?’ It’s quite irreverent.”
