Mattress for car seat

A 30-YEAR-OLD Queensland man has been caught driving perched on a mattress because his car had no seats.

Police pulled over the car in Toowoomba and found the disqualified driver and his woman passenger were sitting on a rolled-up foam mattress.

The car, which was also missing door linings and electronic equipment, was impounded and the driver was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving without a licence.
